Emirates is the largest airline in the Middle East and one of the two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates, based at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Founded in 1985 with just two leased aircraft, the airline has grown into the world's largest long-haul carrier. It is wholly owned by the government of Dubai through the Investment Corporation of Dubai, operating under its parent organisation, The Emirates Group. (Not affiliated with the real Emirates Group.
